Just wonder if there is a way to prevent it from happening again. Since I am quite a novice in IT, no clue about why that happened in the first place. Data Load? Virus? Hardware durability?

You did a great job of restoring the forum. Yes, I suffered from CS withdrawal and often came here even when the site was being fixed.

I can only imagine there was much tearing of hair, eyebags and panda eyes during the entire process.

Considering I don't have a very fast internet connection, I'm thankful for the tangible snappiness when the site loads - the downtime was definitely worth it!

i never believed my gf when she told me i was addicted to CS until.. *gaspx! the week long shutdown! Yes, i'm addicted to all your gear talks, buy/sell offers, scanning tips, occasional eye candies at portraits sub-category, the list goes on..

:thumbsup::thumbsup: such a long period of downtime is totally unacceptable but of cos the admin have no choice nor wanted this to happen.

i believe clubsnap have lost some of their members to other forums due to this downtime. I saw a significant increase in other photography forums.
