Try Kex Flextight service! Should be very good! Cheaper than getting a drumscan yourself :-). For Medium format and larger, the Epson 4990 should be sufficient for most people, unless it is your work....then get it drumscanned somewhere.....

Kex has one? Wow!

Thanks for the info.

Kex has the FlexTight for donkey years already (ok, not exactly but he posted his services in the consumer corner for a while). I think he also got a drumscan too (was it?) that scans MF too.

Absolutely! the best! the ultimate!

the Imacon Flextight cost in the region of USD 14,000.00

the ICG drum scan cost USD 65,000.000

Any practical advice for ordinary folks like us here?

Hey dude,

Why so worked out? I am referring to get a scan from either drum or Flextight. I did not advice him to purchase one. I, too, cannot afford them myself.

Hee...hee... However there is a Howtek in my office. I can always use it.

Worked out? Nah!! I am cool as a frozen dude. Anyway have not have a good "worked out" since my last trek in the South West.

Just very impressed by your insight. But wondering how to get the ultimate scans for us ordinary folks. Now I understand why you recommended what you did. You have a Howtek in your office. Lucky you! The rest of us, we have to go to Kex.

At least you have $$$ to go to Kex. Me only "scan" my slides with my Panasonic compact, but that is for web uses only :bsmilie:

OT! Yes! The toils over the years! My back! My sleepy eyes! I have been working before half the CS members were even born!

But my reward? I can go to Kex!!!

hahaha, your reward would be to buy yourself a drum scanner so you no need to travel or wait for Kex to scan
