Film prices

bought 135 format tri-x from chiif last sat. $7.50 each.

I have been looking for Fuji 160NS 120 format for a few months already and Cathay always doesn't have stock. Did they stop bringing it in?

Hey guys wanted to ask what kind of bulk film loader do you use? I am considering the Lloyd or arista bob quick junior? Any recommendations?

And on a side note are any of you able to get hc-110 anymore? I'm out of mine and I only see macodirect has it. Is there anywhere else?

I use this. Very cheap and doesn't scratch the film, but you'll lose the last 2 frames because they'll be exposed. What I do is that I leave 2 cm of film sticking out, stick the film to a canister and then pull out the film in the dark bag. Troublesome, but I don't get scratched film and I can shoot till the end of the roll.

You can get HC-110 from Ruby. They have shipments in from time to time. If it is out of stock there, wait a while and they will have it. If you can't wait try using Ilford Ilfotec HC. It is also a highly concentrated syrup like HC-110.

Regarding bulk loader, I use both Llyods and the Bobinquick. I like the Bobinquick much better because of the automatic counter. The only downside is that it is double the price of the Llyods.

Ah okay thanks for the reply! Is there anywhere to pick up a bulk loader locally or would online be the only option? Thanks

Ruby is selling bulk loader but the last time I checked around a month ago they have no stock. Brand is AP but price is kind of steep.

Got it from Ruby in the end! The AP bobinquick is available at 130 with 20 plastic canisters.

Is there anywhere to get ISO400 DX Coded reloadable film canisters? or any of you have some that you don't mind selling? thanks

I reload into commercial cassettes if I need the DX code. Slightly more troublesome but it works.

Superia 400 36/roll is discontinued at B&H...

Went to Cathay today and it seems they don't carry medium format negative film anymore. Only had fuji slides. Could not comment about restocking either. Are there any cheap sources for 120 negative film left?

Benji,

(Ruby) Portra 160 at $10.00 (135)
Portra 400 at $10.50 (135)

Last check in first week of Sep 2013.
