Real photographers uses Hasselblad FTW. ;p

:bsmilie:

wonder how that person mentioned by the TS will response to this.

photographer using the 1D mk3/4, but its a cropped factor. so will that person also say to the person using the 1D mk3/4 "only real photographer use FF" LOL :bsmilie:

but seriously I dont think a photographer at wedding dinner need a shallow DOF capable system. table shots, crowd shots u need more DOF than less. so a FF system maybe good but not a must.

The question leads to whether the person is questioning the equipments or the photos taken by the equipments.

Anyway, it is good to keep in mind that a photographer is essentially providing a service to his/her clients. A handsomely sized full frame equipment does make the whole service package more attractive. It's a good way to advertise one's service. For professionals it is not just about the photo taking session, it's a business which also requires packaging/advertising and building of customer base.

The person may be suggesting that a professional photographer should do something about brandishing his equipments and making a showy business.

The Dudes of Hazzard an old TV series :)

Damn.. I am a fake.. ;p

Hi bros,

was shooting a wedding sometime back and was approached by someone, this guy saw me using 2 x 40D for wedding shoot and he straight away told me a real photographer never use a crop body for photo shoot.

Like to hear some view from bros here and i know some of you here are pros, so is it a must to have FF body in order to do wedding shoot?

regards

40D for wedding photography? Why not?
My sister used her 40D for my first day (my wedding was spread over 2 days) and rented a 5DII for 2nd day. Lens was 24-105L for both days.
Result - relatives in general felt that pictures from 40D look nicer when we showed them the 4R photos. These relatives didn't even know what camera my sis was using for either day.

So 40D for wedding photography? Why not? :D

The guy who told you that does not think, if i pass a 5dm2 to my 2 yr nephew :bsmilie: and snaps and a pns and my nephew snaps which would be better? none its the person that matters ( in this case i'm not talking abt age, pls dunnot mis understood...) FF matters but not always in terms of noise control, but it doesn't compose a photo for u:... Why does NG photographers takes nice shots even in the 90's?? because they're skilled...;) So bro don't take it to heart for what that guy said...

No lah, a real photographer uses a pin-hole camera!

TS has already decided to move on long long time ago liao....... somewhere in page 2, what are you guys dragging on now??? :dunno:

Well i was using 40D and tokina 12-24mm so i dun need to move back to take group photos. He is a friend of the groom and is the owner of a renown camera shop in kallang... And he was also the driver on that day for the couple. So while we were riding to the next location and he told me i should use FF cameras coz pro photographer never use crop body for wedding. There were also other bad comments he mentioned about Olympus and Sony... dun wish to elaborate those issue. So i just keep quiet and listen lor... At the back of my heart, i ponder could he be right as he is some owner of a camera store...

Nevertheless, i will maintain what i used, my 40D from now on.;)

ain't it nice to close another thread ;)

thank for all the advices, i m closing this thread now.:)
