The job's not so much fun now that you're not here. Real work is starting to kick in. Also watch out for the new men's mag AUGUST, its got pretty pictures too.
Thanks to all the girls who have indicated their interest, I'll be dammn there are some raw diamonds here. I have received responses from girls with varying range of experiences so maybe my next few paras are for the more novice ones. Just a couple of grouses. and hopefully you models can keep this in mind for your next TFCD.
I really like the photos that are coming, however its not a photo competition, its a casting call. I like the post production and colour treatment but what i really want to see is you.
Nice clean background, doesnt neccessary have to be a studio, show me a range of emotions and looks, different shot sizes and how different cloths fit onto you.
Also try to scale your photo for lowres viewing. A couple of you are sending me 5 or 6 high res images which really screws up the already bad net connection we have at the office. Some others are sending me links to various photo sites where i have to sieve thru the many photos and galleries you have in order to get a nice head shot. I dun mind but you will have to take a more professional approach to presenting yourselves if you are gunning for paying jobs.The solution? COMCARDS! Take charge of the photos you are showing. Dun show 100 average photos, just show 5 great ones. Remmeber for a paying job, the casting director has to audtion thru many 100s of models, he or she wont have the time to sieve thru too many of your photos. I have plenty from the agencies lying around in the office if anyone wants a sample.
I know that this being a free thingy i should be glad that i am getting so many responses already but what i really hope is that it becomes a two way thing, you getting more experience not only in terms of the photoshoot and the coverage but also experience in the whole process of pitching for a job. And me? I get to shoot beautiful you.
Ok enough talk. Let me put my money where my mouth is. For all of you that have responed or are going to, I will put a comcard together for you. A high res one which you can print and bring to casting calls and a low res one which you can email without jamming up the person's inbox. You would need about 4 or 5 images, and info like height, hair colour, eye colour, bust size, waist size, hips, dress size and shoe size. Also your contact details.
if anyone is interested, just drop me a mail, but dun send me the high res just as yet. haha we will do it thru yousendit or something.
So anyway, we are still casting so feel free to send in your images. We will stop all applications on the 3rd of Sept and will inform you of the result by the 6th.
