Feedback on Nikon 16-35 f/4 VR vs 17-35 f/2.8?

Maybe your can consider on Tokina AF 17mm f/3.5 ATX, when stop down to F5.6 is very sharp and distortion at minor only.
For lightweight and full metal design.

Just for info , repair is $500+ and gst . Repaired mine and sold it.

But it's a great lens optically , mine sharp across .

Now only uses prime and zoom with my feet. 

That why I like to stick with my Nikon 20-35mm f/2.8D. :bsmilie:

tried before the 17-35mm on a d5000 before... dunnoe what's wrong the AF-s like got problem sometimes... focus cannot focus de... have to like turn the focus ring and focus again... it's either the lens is spoil or my camera is spoil... lighting isn't that dark and AF assist light is also on.. dunnoe why~

The AFS motor dying. V common for tis lens, prob due to it being a 1st gen AFS motor.

Mine kaput 3 times. Nw using 18-35, bliss ever since!
