FD-EOS conversion service wanted

Hi,

I would like to ask for advice on FD-EOS conversion. I wonder if any one of you has had the first hand experience of doing it. By FD-EOS conversion, I mean permanently modifying the mount by stripping it. I greatly appreciate the advice. If anyone of you can recommend a shop or someone who knows how to do it for a fee, please introduce.

Lens to convert: Canon FD 300mm 2.8

I have heard (but never seen one in action) of a FD to EOS convertion mount. I think you should try CP or John and check out if they have it. Else Ebay/ adorama would be usual places to check.
I am not sure if stripping the FD mount to replace with EOS mount would actually work as the FD mount controls the aperture differently from the EOS mount. By EOS mount, I hope you refer the EF mount and not EF-s Mount as both are quiet different.

So in effect, check a convertion mount. On using a convertion mount you would have to set aperture manually though
