FCP Wannbe Questions...

Was thinking of moving to FCP BUT being a PC user all my life I'm pretty worried.. Would like to edit HDV videos mainly on the mac. Portability would be nice but not must have. Could u guys recommend the specs? I was thinking of a mac pro but i would need a 2nd 24" LCD monitor for preview. Is that possible? An initial assessment is a whopping $10k.. which is quite a far bit for a hobbist..

New iMac 24" with 4GB of RAM won't cost an arm and leg but will be good enough for HDV.

yup this is good enough. will only cost u around $3k -$3.5k, machine and softwares. Then when your done with your videos, upload them to .mac and share it with your family & friends.
