15. In Aug 98, I visited Greece. On immediate arrival, I took a bus directly from the airport to the port of Pireaus in Athens to catch an overnight ferry to the island of Santorini. Caught this young traveller on board the ferry on film.

Just wondering anyone in particular you had in mind with regards to the color being a little off? These are scanned from positives and the colors come out rather vivid.

16. The ferry arrived very early in Santorini. You'd be surprised to see many hotel owners/workers touting near the harbour even this early in the morning.

i thought it is your color preference, esp #2. the highlight in the sky has a pear green tinge while the most of the sky is indigo, while the sand is strong in yellow ochre. the colors are impactful but not very natural in my opinion. i dun rem that in your NZ pics, or is it becos of different timeline in your photographic practices?

i also see some of them may be due to white balance. #5 the chest of the bird is too creamy along with the rest of the frame.

Thanks for your feedback. I suspect the main difference in the color is due to them being scanned from positives. The colors I get from DSLRs are quite different.

17. Took a boat ride from the main island to the 2 smaller islands of Nea Kameni and Palea Kameni. They are bascally remnants of a great volcanic eruptions many, many years ago. You can actually walk up the remains of the volcano on Nea Kameni, the larger of the 2 islands.

12. My tour bus made a pit-stop somewhere in the county of Northumberland. Saw these horses grazing in a open field near some ruins on that misty morning.

18. Another view of the people climbing the slopes on Nea Kameni. This one downhill. Since I was there in summer, it was very, very hot.

20. Santorini's towns are filled with whitewashed building interspersed with bright blue roofs, doors etc. This cat looked photogenic against such a beautiful backdrop.
