Both are tact sharp macro lenses. The 105mm has a longer working distance compared to the 60mm, and I would prefer it over the 60mm

guys i seriously need to know about this. i am tempted to buy tamron 90mm but one thing i wanna know about this is "IS IT POSSIBLE TO USE THIS LENS TO REACH 1:1 MAGNIFICATION WITHOUT TRIPOD" ?? i dont have tripod and even if i do , i prefer not to bring tripod everytime i go out

i think i have a good hand stability since i have shot some snapshots with d40 in the shutter speed slower than 1/20.

so what do you think?

Tamron SP AF 90mm f/2.8 Di 1:1 Macro

Answers your question. You need to MF on D40/x & D60 since this cam body dont have focusing motor.

Tamron just released a version with built-in motor recently. Not sure if it's available here yet though.

hmm i prefer Dedicated flash like SB series from Nikon than Ring flash as the later looks flat coz it eliminates shadows.

U nikon users are so lucky to have the Zeiss ZF 100mm f2 lens that mounts directly to your nikon cam! Try it and get poisoned!
