17-40mm f/4L and 100mm f/2.8:lovegrin:

100mm for a wedding shoot? are you shooting as the main photog or with the paparazzo crowd? a main photog normally has free access so why 100mm? unless for macro close-ups of bouquet, rings etc...

I use the following lens during wedding
17-35mm F2.8
28-70mm F2.8
12-24mm F4
50mm F1.4
35mm F2

35mm F2

Wa... u got time to change to so many of these ah :bsmilie:

Agree, 10-22mm should be for general landscape not general wedding photography.

10-22mm lens gives a different perspective when you shoot weddings. As you are likely to have close access during weddings, distance is not a problem.

You guys should try it and decide if it works for you. ;)

Got lah.. heehee 35mm F2 and the 50mm F1.4 used during makeup.

17-35, 28-70 and 12-24 use for other times. 12-24 use to take pictures inside HDB flats crowded with relatives... :) 17-35 stay on my camera most of the time.

im using these 03 lenses for wedding shots :- :bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie:
70-200mm f/2.8
28-80mm f/2.8
12-24mm f/4

No favourites. Use whatever is required to get the job done. Every wedding requires a different lens utility depending on the time, place and accessibility..

guys, mine different. ;p

17-85mm IS + 100mm F/2.0 USM with 2 body, no time to change lens .. :D
but 17-85mm IS normally use 80% in the wedding assignment; while 100mm f/2.0 USM only 20%.. hehe..

24-70mm f/2.8 on main body
70-200mm f/2.8 on another body
17-40mm f/4 in bag (mount on main body for group shots)

16-35mm F2.8
50mm F1.2
70-200mm F2.8

Of course with 2 bodies.

According to TS, "favourite" and most used lens would mean just one lens.

In this case, it would be my Carl Zeiss 16-80mm (on APS-C sensor), as it probably covers 70+% of the shots that I take.

Used to be 17-40 on a 10D body, but now 24-105 on a 5D body. :)

For a low budget wedding photographer wannabe like me... I'm using the Tammy 17-50 on a 40D for most of the shots.

A ZF-AF version of the lens would be nice.. ;p

Personal choice:

- these 2 is always on the camera when we set out.
17-55mm f2.8
18-200mm VR

- Optional use when the environment requires it
12-24mm f4
70-200mm f2.8
50mm f1.8 (though f1.4 more preferable, include a +3 macro close-up filter for special shots)

Changing of lens sometimes makes the moment slipped away. Hence the usage of 2 camera bodies.

my previous set up, 17-40 f4... for all event and wedding shot...

my most favourite lenses are the 85mm and 24mm focal length.

The most difficult lens to use is the 16-35mm range. I'm still mastering and exploring it. yet to see most photographers full exploit wide angles creatively expect William Chua locally

Any suggestions on which lens to use if I have 2 x 1.6 crop factor cam(30D) as bodies?

you have to keep trying out what your suitable focal lengths are. everyone sees things differently.
