Fantasea Housing for D70s

Anyone uses Fantasea housing? It seem to be more cheaper than Ikelite. Any comments?

Yes I use the 10 Bar housing (www.10bar.com) for Nikon D70s with SB800, also in their housing. Couple of years already. Quality is good, cheapest in the market for DSLR, and you can buy direct from them (+shipping) in Hong Kong. 10 Bar OEM manufacture for Fantasea, they machine in China, finishing in HK. BUT Fantasea insist on clips added to the housing, while 10 Bar maintain the airlock keeps even pressure on the main O Ring, (the clips put uneven pressure on the O Ring). The SB800 housing came with the Nikonos 5 pin connectors so you get iTTL on your shots, but I use the SB800 only for macro work, its not strong enough for other shots. So, both 10 Bar and Fantasea sell for almost same price, if you want clips buy Fantasea!

How much is the Fantasea housing?

I still recall my first time experience. I bought the Fantasea housing for my wife go diving. First time diving ok, then few months later went for second time diving it leaked (flooding very fast and very badly). I wrote to Fantasea, with photos, they asked me to send money over to "exchange" for a new one, there is no explanation on why my housing leak or flood.

My wife has since told me, dun get a cheapo brand, get a "better quality" brand ones...

Could the "O" ring seal on the housing dried up? Cracked and eventually leaked. It would be important to keep the ring lubricated with silicon, just like the ones found on the dive tank.
