Wow, well done, these are fantastic, and as someone aptly described "breath-taking" pictures.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

That's why a tripod and remote release controller is part and parcel of a photographer's gear!!

New Zealand is a very beautiful, clean and safe country, especially for self drive vacations. I drove around the South Island with my wife as passenger in April, 2008 for 19 days and the North Island for 18 days in April 2009. Looking forward to my next trip, and the next.......:)
Cheers.
LEW

try to go in the winter. I went previously in the summer but the winter landscapes are very different. Both are nice in their own way.

I find NZ winter pretty mild. It has snowscapes but no snow at ground level which makes travelling and driving much easier.

Nicely captured the moment of joy.

You drove a camper van or car? If you are driving a camper van, you should stop by Lake Pukaki isite and stay a night to enjoy the morning sunrise and the night stars, and Milky Way, provided there wasn't any overhang clouds or raining.

Hmm.... looking forward to my 3rd return trip to NZ soon.

Hope you and your family enjoy your trip to the fullest.
