fake SONY NP-FW50 batteries for SLT NEX

I bought a Sony a6000 kit yesterday from funan. May i know if the battery supplied in the kit is genuine? how about the one i bought PWP @39sgd.

They dont look the same so im kinda worried.


Batt with on top is the PWP batt i bought. The one below is the one that came with the kit (with orange sticker also).

From what i have, the top is fake. The bottom looks the same as the 3 batteries i have.

Best to buy from reputable shops to minimize such stuff from happening. Got all my gears from the preferred shops and they have all been working as expected with peace of mind

The first 2 are genuine. For the back labels are US and Europe are different. US label will tell you to recycle hence the recycle number while europe will tell you not to incinerate. The battery we get in Asia should be Europe one. With introduction of A6000, Sony also has release a new batch of battery "Made in China" which is of slight lower mAh (1020mah as compared to 1080mah) as showed by picture from cocoy01.

The new one seems to be the top one, I got mine from Cathay Photo a few weeks back.

I also got those battery with the hologram on it. Thought was fake but from reputation shop, shouldn't be lor. If got problem, bring to sony n if they says it's fake, make police report!

Yes. Second one is the old one which is MIJ during pre-A6000 times, the first one is the new one which is MIC. No worries. I remember I read somewhere that Sony statement is that the MIC are better in power as the circuitry being redesigned. Not sure how true?

Most shop should sell below that price. I know slrr selling at $8X, the rest should be same. I got my extra from someone else, $50. Last time when I got my video camera, that guy sold me a high capacity at $80. Best deal ever!
