F500exr

Just curious... for only $50 extra you can get a F550EXR, which supports RAW files, auto bracketing and histogram in addition to GPS. Why would you settle for a F500EXR?

Did considered the 550 but after I reading some reviews that stated that GPS (if turned on) rapidly drains the battery and shooting with RAW files is slow, we went for the500. The decision in part is also the colour, gold (only colour left at the shop) is not our choice.

oic... yes, you are right, the GPS does drain the battery and the saving of RAW files is slow. But aren't people rushing for gold nowdays? ;)

Anyway, congrats on your purchase!!
This camera is very feature-rich and can be confusing for a first-time Fuji user. Like, should I use the EXR HR setting or Landscape setting for shooting landscapes? Or should I use the pro low light setting or EXR SN setting or night scene setting for very low-light shots. I used to take the same pictures a few times using different settings when I just bought my first fuji camera.
You might wish to refer to Kim Letkeman's blog to help simplify your shooting life: http://kimletkeman.blogspot.com/2009/10/fuji-f70exr-how-to-shoot-it-mkii.html
Hope you find the info useful.

Hope you can capture great pictures with your new camera!
