its quite expensive - ard $220. but works very well. i bought it from ms color before i went on holiday and it allowed me to shoot my kids playing underwater. no regrets.

Another alternative to a housing would be a camera rated for water. I bought a Pentax Optio W10 (the W is important- that is their water resistant line, there is a new model out) to take with me on a rafting trip. I got throughly soaked and also swam in the water with it just fine. There are a couple others out there I can't think of right now. Try google. If you want to do diving with it you may need something like a housing but for the beach or pool or shallower depths they work great. As you go deeper, the pressure will leak through the seals on a water resistant camera. I think mine is rated for at least ten meters underwater. Image quality is not as good as my F31fd though. Maybe the newer models are better.

taken with my F31fd @ Sentosa(sorry if it's too big)

I've had my F31fd for 8 mths and admit it's a very good camera at a decent price.

This camera offers lovely details and natural colours for day shooting.
The B&W mode produces good contrasty tones with minimal PS.
I like the color saturation at low light, too.

I'm having thoughts of offloading this camera for a Ricoh GRD 2 when I visit Sg next weekend (Any takers for F31fd??).
The Ricoh looks way cooler, has more manual controls, and offers 21mm with wide-angle attachment.

have it for about a year but didn't really use it until my recent trip.
my only few complain is the lac of image stabilization, lack of wide angle and extremely poor CA control.

hey guys, just want to double confirm. Does the F31d have a manual mode? the dpreview review doesn't state it, but i saw an "M Mode" from the picture. If there's manual mode, how much control do we have?
