First test of some macro shots from the camera today. The hippo shot at ISO200 and the circuit at ISO 400. Very surprised what the camera can do...

No, nothing wrong with your F31, first pic the iso 800, second I guess without flash and iso 1600.
By default if u use auto mode, somehow the iso always increase to 800.
Keep shooting, I guess you will get better result

sooch68, the kid photo can be further cleaned up with this software:

Beware that this software will remove your EXIF data. But the default will save under a new file name.

For an ISO1600 picture, I must say you have done well. You can start experiment with the manual mode. Where you can cap the ISO. But other things will be affected. Like slower shutter speed maybe applied if say you use the ISO(800) mode to shoot the same picture of the kid. 2 humble cents from me(a photog noob).

What I did for PP...
- Reduce size
- Increased saturation
- Decreased gamma
- USM
- A little bit of the original photo where the car is so that it is not too dark at the bottom...
