use macro mode, close up & focus to the object. if u r using manual mode(A/S) u also can set it to biggish aperture F2.8... do try more then u know the matter liao~!;)

is it taken hand-held or with tripod?

Just got this baby yesterday. Haven really gone thru the manual so just shoot using auto. I noticed that the pic taken arent very sharp when view at the original size (6M)... even those taken on tripod. Is this normal?

where & how much u paid for it?

bought it at Chevron House lvl 2...
im setting it at 6M F... the pic at 100% not sharp at all even when using tripod

You've probably been spoilt by your D70S lol and you won't get the same sharpness of a DSLR at 100% crop! Its an overall so-so compact in good lighting conditions, but it really shines in low light situations.

Take a look at the comparison with a D50 @ ISO800 :

mind i ask if the (1) -1 refers to the EV value? (2) is this taken in the AP mode or the Manual mode or just the auto mode?

thanks!

Ha true enuough...
have to get used to it

how come my f31fd got so much hot pixels!!!

i realised that in program mode, iso is forever auto, cannot limit the iso
purple fringing is pretty severe
long exposure in night scene produces severe hot pixels
cannot zoom while in video mode

oh! no FD in manual mode....
