F31fd pics samples for technical discussion (part 2)

no worries, i usually shoot ISO800 and below.. difference between that from f31fd not much... but CA, purple fringing eliminated... in f31fd, the CA and purple fringing are

i need the following features more
5x optical zoom
wide angle of 28mm
3" LCD
Dyanmic Range
True Image stabiliser... never mind... :bsmilie:

F200EXR Shot at ISO800 at 1/5s in low lighting.

Yes, all the above are the key improvements over F31fd. I need the wide angle more. The rest are not as important to me. F200 is a good camera, there is no doubt about it.

Here are some photos taken on my bike trip last Sunday.
Small compact camera easily fit on the handlebar.

It is my daughter trying to run away. Hard to photograph kids leh. There could also be some handshake since shutter speed is 1/5.3 at ISO100. At this kind of shutter speed even IS also not much use.

Might be your camera is not capable to handle shutter speed way below 1/5 sec, take a look at my i ice cream vendor (at the other thread) very sharp @ 1/4 sec also hand held. Don't you agree Weixiang!

erm...i think 1/4s with dslr also hard to get sharp pics if the subject keeps moving.

i agreee no amount of VR IS VC wadever you call it can save you. 1/10 already my photos are blurry.. 1/4 hell no unless tripod but again they are moving so 1/4 sharp is out!!

well..1/4s for static subjects is still possible. image stabilizer helps to prevent or reduce handshake, but it will not eliminate subject movement.

The most awful daylight pictures I have ever seen in my entire life. Taken with a second hand, outdated and supposed to be retired camera. A real disgrace to the world most renown camera brand name - Fujifilm, and also the photographer behind this unsightly dull pictures too. The late Ho Chi Minh will be totally distraught to see his historical monument in such a gloomy look, if he still alive today. And also being a laughing stock from my Vietnam counterparts, I don't dare to post it on one of Singapore biggest Photographic Forum. As the Chinese say I have no eyes to see!

hey andi i think you're getting abit personal with the guys here. Those comments are uncalled for thou i don't own both the f31 or the f200EXR but another compact.

I believe to each his own and here's smth from my 4yr old compact camera. here is it outdated or no as sharp as yours ?

Although i have been shooting for only 1 year plus as compared to you i believe the ice cream shot is way too smudgy with details lost. Sorry i cant agree with those comments of yours. But as a fuji user as well, i am glad you are enjoying your F200exr.

I hope you should some respect to our fellow CSer the same respect all all give to each other regardless of age or camera used.

This is clearly a classic case of user problem... inadequate knowledge of the equipment, hence producing sub-par standard of photography. Please go and use a dummy camera, it might suit you better .

Hey peeps,
take it easy la. Dun have to flame anyone in here rite? Can I buy you kopi?

Hi Andikong,

Understand you are physically pretty old, but can you start learning to respect people?

Btw, your ice cream vendor picture is very inspiring!
Cheers.
