That is a very good deal. $200 cheaper than I bought few weeks ago.

No need ebay. Go to newegg.com and you see that the price is much cheaper over there. Of course got to factor in shipping and we dun really qualify for the mail in rebate unless you get one of your fren who is in US to buy on your behalf.
Warranty wise is only 30 days. That is the catch. Anything happened you got to shipped back to them. That's why paying more when you buy in Singapore the price could be inclusive of the after sales service factored in.
No point mentioning as it's not going to make your F30 any cheaper. Most retailers are selling about US$300 but I managed to get one at US$230 though it took a while before I could find an auction at this price.

just to share, i bought my ixus 800 is from worldwide and did not encounter any prob. he gave me a good price, better than ms or ap, on 1 jun 06. just to verify, i bought from the manager, henry. not sure which shop attendant our brudders in cs dealt with.

i did the same thing, but the price was USD222.5 + USD 51 for shipping. so total was SGD440. not much savings like you.

the manual come in japanese, and the camera has only 2 languages selection, japanese and english. it is japan warranty, not international warranty.
U might buy from shop, varies from YEN 36,000 to YEN 46,000.
I bought mine from internet when I was there. It is much cheaper, around YEN28,000 and free delivery. I paid the full amount when the F30 was delivered to me.

I just got back from Japan last week. The best deal I found on the street is at the Sakuraya chain of camera shops. They are in almost all the main shopping areas of Tokyo - Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ikebukuro, etc. The F30 is now going for 35,800 Yen and you get a 20% on the spot credit which you can use to buy other products from the store. So the net price of the camera is 28,640 Yen.

The Sakuraya stores are huge so I'm sure you'll be able to find other stuff to buy. They have mobile phones (but of course cannot buy these), electronics, film, printers, accessories, etc etc. Just a note that the 20% rebate is applicable only to cash. If you use credit card it's 15 or 16%.

both Fuji and Olympus XD card is more expensive in Japan. 1Gb Xd is around Yen6,000 or SGD80.
finally brought my F30 at 1 of the shop in Yokohama... it is much cheaper without the vochure thing... i bought at Yen 27300... the store assist told me onli local warranty... did u try register in singapore?
