I held an infra red filter (Hoya R72) against the lens and shoot through it. Best to do a custom white balance through the infra red filter first so that post processing is easier later on.

Anybody knows if there is a filter adapter available for the F30? It would definitely make it easier to shoot in infra red if there's one.

U using digital zoom?

if not, it's coz they need to upz the amplifier to have "live" display on the LCD. coz the aperture smaller when u zoom in.

Nope, I'm not using digital zoom. Not sure, but I'm suspecting if it's due to the high ISO. When using auto mode, the ISO they selected for me is usually 800 & 1600. When using auto and N/SP mode, there's no way we can adjust the ISO. Any tips to share when taking photos using these 2 modes?

Can you post your photo to show us?

In any case, under high ISO, it is normal to have noise, but in case of Fuji F30 it should have better noise control then any other P&S.

I really love the rich colours of the F30. I was taking some building shots this afternoon and the sky came out bluer than blue to my pleasant surprise.

Unfortunately, this can't be used for IR photography as it is open on all sides and is not (visible) light-tight.

This is natural mode in ISO 3200/F2.8/100

Only resize, little curve correction. Noise is directly from the camera, no cleaning. As you can see the blue channel exibit some noise but it is still exceptable. Note that this is NOT 100% crop.

I have realised that,

F30 will fix to F2.8...when I switch to Auto and M mode
