for night mode, you can set up to 15 seconds for F30.
i think F11 should be the same too. :)

At night mode, iso will be set at auto for all 3 cams? Any way to set iso at 100?

Sorry bros, just checked my camera(F30). If you set your camera to N/SP mode in the NIGHT settings, the default ISO setting is AUTO(ie. no choice for choosing iso setting that you like) and the default LONG EXPOSURE setting is OFF. Chances are that the cam will set an iso too high for your liking.

However if LONG EXPOSURE is set to ON, you may go back to iso setting and set whatever you like. At least you still have control over the picture quality. But exposure is to be obtained through trial and error, and not automatic exposure. Pity that the steps are too many and troublesome. Well, there is a way to do it.

F11 is great camera,
but too much CA on wide open,
slowest shutter is 3" on nite mode n S priority mode.
dunno wat is d slowest on M mode (cos i dunno how to set shutter on M mode cos borrow it for few minutes only)

Pls correct me if I am wrong. For all modes except Night Mode and S priority, the lowest shutter spedd is 1/4 second.

Besides Night mode and S priority, the Fireworks mode allows shutter speed to be set up to 4 sec. For Fireworks mode, the aperture is always defaulted to f8 and ISO to 100.

Agreed that the lowest shutter speed for other modes is limited to 1/4 sec.

In Night mode and with LONG EXPOSURE set to OFF, the lowest shutter is 3 sec. ISO is AUTO and max ISO is 200. Aperture is always fully opened.

If LONG EXPOSURE is set to ON, the shutter speed can be set from 1 sec to 15 sec, in 1 sec step. ISO can be user programmed. I found the limiting constraint here is the aperture which is always defaulted to maximum opening.

Just my observation.

Just to illustrate above point.
With F30 set to Night mode, I tried to take street scene in HDB estate by night, exposure longer than 2 or 3 sec will over expose the pic.

For that matter, I will set LONG EXPOSURE to OFF as default, as the cam determines the exposure quite accurately.

Agreed?

Why no fully manual mode in F30? :(

Nevertheless, F30 is a nice cam. Very usable up to ISO1600.

Most of the time, I set to M mode, Auto ISO1600 (M for limited manual mode), frame and snap.

Indoor events, no flash, still possible.

Bro,

If your WB is set to auto, I suggest you set to WB/cloudy or under shade. Will make the colour warmer. Colour of this photo seems too cold/ bluish.

Thanks for your advice. Yes, WB was set to AUTO.

It was a painted floor and color of the "lion" appeared natural on my screen.
Time to check my monitor calibration again.

Anyone know where to get extra batteries for the F30 ?

Yeah man , I need to know as well. My batt reading is low as I kept playing for it for last 2 days.

Did some tests.

Although the 3:2 mode has about 180 more pixels horizontally, but the view angle is exactly the same. I suspect in 3:2 mode, they did some algo to scale the horizontal resolution from 2848 to 3024, so that it will be 6MP, not 5.4MP.

DO note that the 3:2 mode is stored in JPG normal, not fine.

There is also observable quality loss between normal & fine.
