Wah you register just to post this ah? U really kiasi :bsmilie:
Totally agree with you bro. One more things about the buildings, the noise could be so loud that it could shatter the glass windows. Then we will have problems with debris.. err.. what flag ah? Forgot leow :bsmilie:
 Thanks for your support bro seankyh, yeah I register just to post this cos I am not a clubsnap or photography fan but this was the only singapore forum that google managed to find as I was trying to find local forums where there are fellow Singapore F1 marshals and this website was the only one where there is a discussion from those singaporeans who were selected.
A word of WARNING to all F1 marshals: those puny ear plugs that you use in army are NOT SUFFICIENT, I say again, those small piece of rubber that you use for swimming is NOT SUFFICIENT to protect your hearing from permament damage.
I foresee that alot of naive volunteers is going to suffer irreversible hearing damage on the race day. Alot of these volunteers are very naive and have never heard or attended a real F1 race before, they think they can tahan the noise, but I will tell you this - alot of people on that day, including all the Singapore Police Force and Civil Defencse force people on duty as well as all the innocent spectators who are going to turn up unprepared for the onslaught of EXTREME AND PERSISTENT HIGH DECIBEL NOISE up close....all these people will have their hearing damaged permanently if they think that ear plugs are good enough, especially those who are going to stand close to the action.
You will need to wear ear muffs IN ADDITION to ear plugs. Anything less than that is going to put yourself in danger of permanent hearing damage. Singapore is the FIRST highly built up urban outdoor street circuit in F1 race history. The level of noise is going to be UNPRECENDENTED, the acoustic reverberation and echoing throughout the entire bisness district is going to be VERY VERY VERY VERY (times 1000) LOUD
I am not trying to be negative, but Singaporeans are very naive and I can foresee that a huge majority of these inexperienced volunteers are going to find out too late on race day that not only is the job highly dangerous, but they will realise that they will be mentally and phsygolocically unprepared for the actual conditions that they will find themselves in on 26-28 Sept. I pity all the naive female volunteers who think that it's going to be a fun thing and will turn up on race day with cute dainty shoes and just a pair of ear plugs (or horror..none at all!)
I say again, all of you volunteers MUST pressure the organisers to provide EAR MUFFS. Let the police officers and civil defence people go deaf, they are paid to do the job, but F1 marshals ARE NOT, so ear muffs MUST be supplied to all F1 volunteer marshals.
Please don't be stupid and organise MO to purchase anything. Whatever we need to do the job MUST BE SUPPLIED by organisers. All of you must stand up and talk about this before it is too late.
