Whats the difference shooting in Macro mode (of a said camera) compared to normal mode?? :dunno:

For prosumers, the macro mode simulates the macro switch on SLR macro lenses i.e. it allows you to focus at closer range. My FZ10 in macro mode can AF down to 5cm at 3X (abt 105mm). Attaching a Hoya +4 allows me to AF at 12X (abt 420mm) at 1 foot.

That was exactly my question. I did all if not most of my macros in Av rather than the Macro mode and still able to do the same. Tried that on my DX7590 and FZ20. Sorry if deem OT.
