I think it would be better to start new threads instead of going off topic in every direction. We really need som new threads and that may attract others attention more. By continuing this thread in another direction just misses the attention of those who are interested in the OT subjects, unless they are also interested in the extension tubes and TC discussion. I am sure there are quite a few who would gladly contribute to or read about IR photography and LCD scratches discussions. Chances of getting help are bigger if you increase the number of readers.

I don't mind OT, but I really think there are needs for new topics other than "What's the price of..." and "Where can I buy..." stuff.

I remember reading a thread on dpreview oly forum regarding this. There is a kind of chemical that you can polish the E330 LCD, but I forgot the name.

Wonder if it's the same liquid that's used to remove scratches from CDs. Some products are described as also able to remove scratches from Gameboy screens.

If it is not a deep scratch, can try rubbing some 'colgate' (just a little) on the scratch/screen... you'll be surprised by the results

Since you're so good at DIY stuff, a change of topic here, (assuming I've no protection sticker in place) what if I get a scratch on my e330's LCD, how do you DIY to make it good as new?
