"vignetting" was not post-processed.

it's just light fall off from the lens, turns out more obvious when contrast is increased - it's actually a lens "flaw".

(put in that remark because of the post processed vignetting issues in CS these days - i feel it's overdone..)

Must learn more from you...:bsmilie::bsmilie:

somehow the square crop work fantastic for this shot!!!

That's one heck of a post process shot. So much details!

I love your vignetting effect. Just nice and not overcook. Colours are brilliant as well.

This days I have seen a lot of kissing shots on bridal photos which you can't seem to be able to see either the bride or the groom facial expressions......but yours maybe a small size photo but I can still see the groom and bride's face smiling.

thanx guys!

spectrum : rule of third (vertically) won't give as much sense of distance...

the original frame included more space below, but then i felt it was too empty so i cropped ti square. :)

no top secret tips bro.. :)

sharing is caring! ehhe..

interesting enuff, i am reminded by a comment that someone made about pple copying my styles and locations and what not since i post so much. i said, it's one way to keep ahead, but the time pple "copy" (if they do, why would they? hehe) i've already moved on and further defined my style, or trying something new.

the time i stop improving/exploring/discovering, marks the beginning of the end of my career... it's still too early for that. :)

back to the vignetting issue, i used to do that.. quite a lot too.. past it now. i can still do it if u (or anyone) wants, takes me 2 seconds. :sticktong

oh and to further add, the usual post processed vignetting is quite fake looking cos it just darkens the edges wholesale. the trick or art (if you can call it that) is to darken (and/or lighten) selected areas of the image, much like darkroom days. and this isn't confined to the edges only.

the problem is not where to darken or lighten (that one is subjective and like drawing) it's how to make the selections to darken and lighten in photoshop to make it all blend together. using various layering techniques, layer modes, masks and sometimes even multiple exported RAW files at different exposures.

the above image is a 100mb 16bit psd, before i flattened, resized and saved for web.....

so it's not that easy, and someone asked me why i do it? so time consuming and so big files. i do it becos i enjoy it, almost as much as taking the picture! :)

now u know why i complain about my PC being slow. editing in 16 bit kills....

I think a server would manage better for your work load.
Quad core MacPro maybe?
