O HAI bax.

more than 500 photos to sift through and edit! but thats next week. tonight, i do assignments.

eh ro-ro, i seem to have this tremendous problem with flare/diffraction when using your camera. doesn't matter what lens and what conditions i shoot in, i keep getting flare/diffraction. only a few i managed to get right. :( haha ah well it was mostly a back-up body anyway. obviously i dunno how to operate your cam properly. :bsmilie:

i return to you.... tuesday or something. see when you/i free.

diffraction???? as in the image is not sharp????

Ya, Momo, just spend time to understand them.

I never bring cat food along with me, i only love to pat pat them.
Like DM mentioned, you can almost poke yours lens into their face. :)

Like this night shot taken at 10mm.

:dunno:
i have no problems like that
images that are not sharp only happens if my hand not stable :)

Vonn, post up 2 or 3 sample peeks.

If you can (and it's not very obvious from the photo), describe the main and secondary light sources/positioning in relation to your cam. Also, of course, the exact camera/lense/filter combination.

I suspect it's flare off the AA filter ... unless it's specific to one particular lense/filter combo eeu were using.

When i become "master" again????:sweat:

Ya, the cat is shock that i just put my camera right infront of it and start shoot.
But this particular cat is very friendly, been playing with her for almost 2 yrs.

i'll post a sample pic or 2 tmr, after i finish chionging my assignment. haha not going to touch the photos (after i back them up) until then

Von Von, good to post some example.

I might be wrong, diffraction is very rare in event shooting unless you step down a lot....... flare is more common because of the spot lights in the ballroom.

If you had encounter problem with RoRo's camera even during daytime shoot, then it is different story.

where is the love.. where is the love??

i had the same problem during the day as well, but i think in the day it was cause of flare. hmm i'll post pics tmr :bsmilie: if i start messing with the pictures now i'll not stop for a long while.

:(:(:(:(

I'm tempted to say dun edit the photos yr going to post up, because something as simple as adjusting curves will alter the flare appearance a bit.

when i post, i won't edit, that way you can see the original output that i saw.
