Most people with small kids would ensure their entire house windows have window grills, including balcony to prevent the kid from falling over. People would take such precaution with their kids... leave nothing to chance... but why not with cats?? :cry:

Also, the other factor.

There are certain religious/cultural BG groups that staunchly believe in certain approaches, and even if it means insisting that the cat goes through the most unimaginable and prolonged excruciating pain ever, they will insist on it because it comforms to an ideal of allowing nature to take it's course, forgetting that we live in a man-made world.
