I wonder what other kind of poisons others may have received over time as well.

I know I kenar the TSE poison real bad. Ro-Ro and Loo Nar kenar the macro poison ... :sweat: :bsmilie:

Yes, it was her fault she did not ensure the windows had some kind of mesh so that they could not jump/ fall off. Cats will jump, no matter what the height... so as long as you have a cat at a great height without any preventive measure to stop the cat from jumping off, it's as good as killing the cat.

I've received enquiries about whether I board cats or not and I say No, strictly... because I live on a high floor and I have open windows.

Most local cat owners do not confine their cats. It's a norm here. Where as in some areas of some (foreign especially) places, caging a pet cat is the norm, regardless of abode height. It vaires according to places, so for all the given circumstances, I wouldn;t say the mom is at fault. BTW...balcony, not windows. As in HDB flat balcony.
