Although I earn a small living from photography, your standard and the standard you expect of yourself are very very high.

I'm still using 400D and a simple short zoom for my works and the equipments you own really atonish me.

Sometimes it really scares me to see the excellent works around me.

if you stare at the photo for a long time and it talks to you, then it is considered a good photo.
otherwise, it's rubbish.

Sometimes a person looks at a photo he may not know what he is looking at and looking for.

Last year I flew from HK to KL to see an old friend who was setting up a photo studio. He was trained in a photography college in Tokyo.

We talked about table-top still life. He told me to look for highlights and lights are specially set up for every highlight. I've never thought of that and missed seeing that in the still life photos I've seen.

After I came back and started to introduce highlights in my still life, there is so much spark and life in my photos.

Associate with the right people and be inspired by them is another way. But they are difficult and elusive to find.

In fact I've got a new series coming up.

I've got the props and the idea for it.

Just have to find a bit of time to pose for it and shoot it. :bsmilie: :bsmilie:
