best is phua chu kang boots, just that a bit unglam.

i usually wear sandals.

my parents had forced a pair of crocs on me that i had conveniently lost in my recent mud bath in punggol... which is kind of a good thing, because i don't have to wear them anymore, but bad, because they were kinda useful for such occasions and protected my feet well.

i think have to go get pck boots before sunday if we are going. my parents are going to laugh... :bsmilie:

yes, this is not because we are being sexist or age-ist... there is a limit to physical strength etc.. also for relatively inexperienced people, it is easy to lose footing and everything can happen very quickly.

maybe get your dad to stand nearby in case of anything. :) or start off slow.

an important thing is confidence, and to stay calm. i'm still trying to overcome my fear of heights so that i can eventually do more, especially in high places..

Last one....

if possible get a ankle height boots, sometimes you might scrap against sharp rocks, i have a few on my ankles already... just be very careful and move slowly and feel the ground before putting your weight on it...

i use tripod to tap to gauge depth. and always make sure your other foot is on firm grounding before taking the next step, so that you can balance properly instead of just floundering around and splashing into the water.. even if you're fine, your gear won't be.

i remember that time at punggol sunrise i just crawl up and down the rocks... don't care... looking silly is better than falling into water. :bsmilie:
