i'm not sure if my understanding of photo stacking is similar, but i think got quite a lot of ways to stack in macro... basically using layers...

i think leong got say before he got use focus stack, that is to ensure sharpness of the whole insect body... maybe he shift the focus and then stack all and erase to ensure that every part is sharp? think he also say before got program that does it...

another way i can think of is to shoot stopped down and shoot wide open, and then erase to make sure the bg nice..

Norm i jus ensure the subject is one damn static one (either zz'in or Ko'ed), so long it dont move one bit.. den i will focus stack.. from head to toe.. den blend in CS4
