by right should pan at nodal point of lens, but i just pan on my ballhead at a fixed point.
Same here, too lazy to use those fanciful gear heads/pano brackets etc and for panning and to determine the nodal points.. i aso pan at a fixed point but ensure my x/y axis are level before i actually start panning
