I am on iMac as well.

Depends on the Gamma you choose and the standard target white point also.

Was on Gamma 2.2 and D65 at mac default previously. The screen is cooler before calibration.

Not that far apart in terms of saturation actually.

I still calibrate though.

After you calibrate, you go look thru all the past photo, then you will see want we are see all this while. because some of your macro shots, the colours are out and some are clipped.

Besides calibration, I feel it's how Bryan see and apply colour saturation. :think:

I tried calibrating my mbp by reading the spectrum off a website and it failed miserably.
So... My mbp ia actually not calibrated at all.

MBP, on Gamma 2.2 and D65K, is on default quite warm already.

Just a bit too contrasty i feel.

Don't need to buy the higher end model if only use for monitor. Those can calibrate printer and projector which you might not need it.

Ya lor, Spyder 3 Pro is more than enough already i think.

Actually, depends also on printers and viewer's computer la.

Somemore, i calibrate my screen, but then, others if don't calibrate, will still see it differently.
