As for the 2 touch vs 1 touch, it's up to individuals. Some prefer the 1 touch, some prefer the 2 touch. Coz for some, if you have a pull-push lens amongst other normal zoom lenses which zooms with a turn ring, you may get a lil confused during switching of lenses. Also, some have claimed a difference of focusing speed on these various models.

I have not been able to try it out myself, so I can't really say which is which. :dunno:

And the 1 touch is older, so definitely much cheaper than the 2 touch.

I concur with Zac on the personal prefernce thing. Moreover the 1 touch being older tech is slower than 2 touch. The AFS is a different story altogether but so is the price.

The optics I believe have not changed much.

Also, the one touch has no tripod collar for mounting unless you get a 3rd party one. The 2 touch comes with a tripod collar.
