Thanks for offering Leong. I'm sure that you're superb skills and results will go a long way towards assistong other Exposers in learning Macro photography!

CHEERS!

i am kind of confusing about this outing or activities going on.

What kind of us as individual that looking forwards? Just an outing in sg aka gathering or a short break away from city life or just workshop to share skill or knowledge to the others?

What is it all about? Just confusing me and by the end of the day, things just wont happen if it been drag too long.

hihi

sup

it just like another exposer TCSS thread.

Enjoy :)

Hi Tupi,

I started this thread not for the purpose of organising a single outing, but to get feedback of what the group would like to do in the longer term, as opposed to just going out to just makan, tok kok and sing song.

Besides outings, I was also thinking of a series of other activities centered around photography, such as themes / themed shoots and the idea about possible casual get-togethers and sharing sessions came to mind, which is loosely termed 'workshops'.

Obviously we are not a professional group, and since members come from different walks-of life, we're still 'finding our way round', or at least I am when it comes to organising outings.

Believe me, if it were up to me, I would have already had the overnight shoot/Malaysian getaway this past weekend, or the upcoming weekend, but we have to bear in mind that we also have members who are students rushing to clear assignments these two weeks, and also others who are otherwise tied-up in their attachments as well as religious obligations.

As you can imagine, organising something for the entire group is not easy, and any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps this might be a good opportunity for some members to think about some areas where they could take on?

I have just communicated with John, and he is finding out some details before I can propose any sort of firm plans.

These things do not 'just materialise out of thin air'.

Think everyone is quite busy, so let us be less adventurous, i.e just a local outing, overnight is optional.

Morning - shoot

Afternoon - eat, knowledge/skill sharing/tcss while waiting for golden hour

Late afternoon till 8pm - shoot

8pm to late - eat and tcss, knowledge/skill sharing.

after mid-night - eat, drink and tcss

ok, it my bad for not following up closely what going on here. As what i have thought that it was an outing thing soon.

Btw, it's not about being "Pro" and of cos i know that we come from all walks of life. Sighz... ok la.... Just like you have said too, These things do not 'just materialise out of thin air' :)

Chill and have fun :D

For Macro, the golden hour is actually 7.30am to 10am, can stretch to mid-day if it is overcast.

So quite difficult to have a shoot cum workshop together unless it is a overnight trip.

What i can do is just start off a mini-workshop as a intro to marco, let everyone had a feel of the basic and try out and compare equipment like, Macro lense, reversed lens, Extension tube, teleconvertor, Tilt & Shift lenses and difference lighting systems.

(but prefer to teach only those we know)

hahahaha, i know that everyone is "busy" with stuff. And what i have tot of this thread was something like the Photoaid the other time, like organizing outing. It my bad for not reading it clear enough. :)

You guys have fun :)

Thanks Leong.

Do you have in mind any itinerary/ies and locations/themes?

Or should we do an evening/overnight shoot, now that the River Fest has already started?

Easilest is do street photography or cityscape (maybe can also TFCD for our in-hse model). If go and trek and shoot nature, many people will tired out after half day unless he/she is conditioned.

For location, let me think a while then i msn you. :)

Yeah, I know you're still sore about that outing! You can't blame anyone as it's no one's fault that the Photo Aiders came from too diverse a group Tupi, and unlike the initial group who co-incidentally stayed at or around Punggol, after the immediate 'glow' of PAII well, most people just didn't want to meet up anymore.

KEWL!

I think for ad-hoc events / outings, we just do it spontaneously like I recently did for the concert.

If the response is good, great! And if not, then change of plans lor.

You're right ... I dun think many of us are in the shape to do a dawn to dusk outing ... heck, some of us go to sleep at dawn! :bsmilie:

Yeah, I know you're still sore about that outing!
what is the point of being sore for this kind of stuff?:bsmilie: Isnt it wasting time?

Btw, do not put words into my mouth as i didt blame anyone hor

I think you didt get my points either do i get yours? maybe.
