Actually getting a video cam is cheaper, lighter and the quality is better.

Not easily to chase your kid with 35mm on crop sensor, non vr and slow af......

hmm... got a point.. bt for the meantime till my kid is really active and me busy chasing him ard.. D7000 shd serve me well in the early stage (esp up to 1 year old) .. can easily snap and switch to video mode if i wan tke short clips..
