i don't really shoot macros, but for landscapes... night/sunset/twilight timing can afford to be more creative with the palette, but saturation wise, should not go beyond a certain point.. so yes, i think it applies to landscapes as well.

Yeah.. i so glad i managed to pull myself back from all those wild colors..

Think will need to watch out for my Landscape/Nightscape shots as well..

Btw, does this looks ok for yall?

it is acceptable for me, mostly, but i would take the trouble to tone down the blues on the top left very slightly.
