Quite true, if you see the works of many other competent ones out of our little red dot, u will realise how mediocre our pics really is.. its a big big world out there~ and there's so much more to learn~ be it compostion, pp, techniques, skills etc etc.... And btw, tks for ur critiques earlier WK

yes, and even in our little red dot, sometimes there are people who don't post in clubsnap.

take eikin for example, give it a few more years, if no one mention him, he will also be slowly forgotten by the majority...

life is a marathon... just because you're ahead at one point in time doesn't mean you'll always be ahead. so why want to compare, compete with others? use yourself as the marker. keep trying to improve, keep learning, keep deriving the correct sort of joy from your hobby.

anyways, i only believe in saying things once to people.. if they will listen, they will listen. to be honest, after this time, i won't even bother already.

Current post made me realise how newbie I am.
But have you even been to a fireworks and ask yourself why does those guys uses flash?
Guess it is just human natural, the D90 guys are no exception... (No offend please)

everyone has good points to learn from, if i provide critique it is my point of view, and i will always only address the picture, not the person. how good a person shoots has little to do with how successful he is in life , and that success (to me) is not even measured by how much money he earns, what car he drives. it's about how good a person he is, how good a person he tries to be, and whether he sticks to the correct principles.

so, if you want to be friends with us, first discard that mentality of any hierachy. there is no such thing here.

:thumbsup: Yeah.. to truly enjoy the passion is to better urself... no point in competing, beating my previous best or improving on my exisitent skillset/techniques is one big accomplishment for me~ i dont see the point in competing nwadays as well.. seen it all.. its never ending.. and u wont appreciate photography as things goes..

Btw i really love ekin works, gg in to his webbie at times to look for inspiration, too bad he's no longer active in here
