Now in the mkt looking for a 50mm manual lens as a general walk about and for shooting family (mainly wife and baby) to replace my heavy 24-70;

Narrowed down my choices to : -

1. Nikon 50 AIS f1.2
2. Makro-Planar T* 2/50 ZF
3. Planar T* 1.4/50 ZF

Read all their reviews extensively in the past few days and felt that i love to have them all~!!! But alas, can only afford to BBB one for now.. :sweatsm:

Guys, we know the goodness of 1. , ur have any experience or feedbacks on 2 or 3?

+1 for ZF 50 1.4 and Nikkor 50 1.2

but but 1.2 very very very hard to find new :cry:

nikon 50mm ais gives you a classic look with rather harsh bokeh (subjective but i like), relatively sharp in close distance but shooting subject wide open far away will be very soft. the zeiss is sharp and contrasty, quite a popular choice... never tried the 2/50 ZF before

Brand new peice is almost the same for both 1.2 and Zf 1.4.. Built wise identical... Optical quality wise, quite on par.. need to evaluate more.. :sweat::bsmilie:

Lazy cat @ suan lum night market. The alley was already jam packed but this cat insisted on lying in the middle of the narrow alley to nua. Everyone was trying to avoid stepping on the cutie. :bsmilie: I had to force my way down to squat,my friend had to stand opposite me to block people so that i can take this photo. :sweat:
