Ya, the BE is one of the reason i slowly picking up birding.....and for the 2 hours of shooting this individual, it had eaten at least a dozen of dragonflies and butterflies.

i like looking at bird shots especially colorful ones. sun birds also very pretty!

Thursday - plane to jakarta
Friday - plane to Balikpapan
Saturday - bus to Handil, then on 4 different boats to travel to 3 locations in the Delta, then bus back to Balikpapan
Sunday - plane to Jakarta
Monday - plane to Singapore ...

Had camera, but missed the opportunity to take some pictures of the rather large amphibious creatures basking on the islands banks and cruising the waterways ...

but poverty dictates I must do this to support my shooting / photography habit!

Yes interesting place and its changed so much since I was there in the 90's, even the hotel had my name on record ...

Looking at some work, for a new client, they have massive problems with fire pumps. So need to propose a solution to their problems.

First time out cruising in the delta, one can easy get lost and eaten ....

The water monitor lizards?

No, croc's that are upto 16foot long.

You definitely dont want to fall in the water there, as you would never see them coming.

Seen a couple of them sunning on the bank as we went past, looked to be around 12foot long, with nice smiles.
