I think some macro shooters use their tripods for support like monopods without fully set them up with 3 legs for speedy capture.

Ask Master Leong. He knows all the tricks.

Ya, sometime if the condition or subject is not suitable to setup tripod, using it as a monopods will help to gain a few stop of stability.

Actually those who are very keen in nature macro photography, maybe can tag along with me to shoot. But of course proper gears is a must.......and when i shoot.....i mean shoot......not going to look see look see or strolling.....
