also got another application called staroffice i think. My Asus Eee PC 1000H has both MS Works and StarOffice with the XP.

What is 16 base? Is that like 16 bit?
Can my scanner do that? I bought a scanner the other day, but lower model, only 14 bit A/D ...good enough I think...

Not sure.....but 16 base have more resolution....

good one is $800 to $1k.......although it is cost saving in long run.....but the time use to scan..........one image take a very long for high res......

Hiaz.....i think i will slowly sent in my old film to tupi's friend shop to scan first.....

I got mine cheap cheap cos 2nd hand and lower-end model.

At first wanted the middle-one, but after I enquire about it, they increase the price by $200, which made me unhappy, then saw this 2nd hand lower-end model one, so bought this instead.
The disadvantage of this is that it's 14 bit A/D vs 16 bit, slower scan; doesn't have multi-pass scan; can't load the roll-film-adaptor.... but save a lot of money... so I will be content!
