if, the argument is, using the lens on a crop factor body, the hood is not optimized. that, i can agree (but canon has 3 version, FF, 1.3x & 1.6x:sweat::sweat.

Cropped or not... there is no reason anyway... the view is the same... just smaller or not... and if you're using a smaller image size (for crop), the hood which fits the FF size would be more than sufficient...

alamak, people nowadays wants designer looks mah.

imagine, canon "L" lens, but one get 3 hood. customer service. or if not, design using rubber material, so can extend and retract one.

also, why stop there? red ring is too small to notice, now RED HOOD!!! thats is something to be reckon with.:bsmilie::bsmilie:
