That said, the Macbook Air is very, very impressive for the size and weight and battery life. If only I could learn to love the Mac OS, but I'm too used to Windows.

Haha, well, my reasons for getting any tablet is to use it as a laptop replacement... No time to use at work, so it's really for weekends and holidays. Weekends wise the iPad beats the other tablets hands down because of the sheer number of Apps and Games, but for holiday, it will be such a painful process to just load 16GB worth of files and stick to that (even less than 16GB, come to think of it). Nonetheless, now that it's dropped to $538, I'm definitely considering iPad 1.

Got pek chek with reformatting over and over again towards the 5th year.. and even after reformat, it is damn slow..

i wait for the macbook to be fully flash memory like Ipad so i don't need to wait for it to turn on and off... can use immediately when turn on...hahaha...

The price is still almost 3 times that of the iPad one..

Macbooks not as expensive, but still overpriced leh... 13" Macbook Pro is what, $1.5K or $1.6K... i5 only...

Windows like MAC OS all have their quirks. Mac was always the graphics / desktop publishers dream and thats where it started. MAC will always be expensive, because of the OS, which is based on UNIX,(same as M$), and still uses a lot of command lines for setting up. Also people are willing to pay that amount of money for any APPLE product, so supply and demand. Its a lifestyle product.

MAC can do somethings better than M$ and vice versa. So it comes back to how you manage your environment. Making software for MAC is 2 - 3 times more expensive than M$. Up until as few years ago M$ was coding Office for APPLE under an agreement.

The good think with APPLE now is that with the latest OS for iPad, i Phone and iTouch they are all the same code, soon Macbook, will be the same core code, so they are smart in standardizing the code, which makes it easier for integration between products.

Pros and Cons for both OS and systems.

It comes down to what you needs are basically. If bought up in PC, the crossover to MAC is very hard, as its a different mindset on how things are done. Whereas MAC users seem to have no problems going to PC. Again comes back to preference.
