my noob shoot at dragonfly
not used to holding the 105 macro VR.
it's 1.5x the size of non-VR (a bit big for my hand)

I couldn't identify the specie.

and i also found a Red Tent Spider.

somewhat, I find my pp of this image a bit wrong.

still got a lot to learn.
especially on how to work with the aperture and also the flash.

Today film failure part 2 :(
Finished the roll of film,
Rewound it,
Then loaded another roll in and wondering why it wouldn't load.
Then realised that the old roll was still inside.
ugh!

lost some shots. HAAAAaaa

sorry... i din BUY.
I RENT!

after trying the lens, I dun like the weight, the size, the annoying VR motor sound...
hence, I'm still considering whether to get one or not.

I learnt one thing from my botanical gardens trip...
damselfly is really small and skinny.
the ponds at the sundial garden is useless cos the dragons are at some distance and the lens cannot reach it. :(

Thus it's a better idea to get a 200mm or 300mm lens for such purpose. The 105 would be better off for subjects which you can get closer to.

true.
i was able to shoot the dragon fly as it was right in front of me.
for the first time since i started shooting, I actually lay stomach down on the ground to get my shot at the symphony lake area. People walking past were looking at me. :bsmilie:
