Hello Everyone,

Its my first time using FCPX, and i seemed to have some trouble when it comes to exporting my videos, after exporting the video, during playback i realised that the frame size of the clip is really small, even though i exported it in 2.7k res (it was recorded in 2.7k with my gopro)

A screenshot of what i see during playback, i cant seem to play the video in "full screen" mode, there is so much black border that surrounds the clip, appreciate help from anyone thanks!

Open up your video in VLC and check under Window > Media Information > Codec Details. what does Stream 0 say?

It think it must be the resolution setting that you set ...

hmm, that looks ok. how does it play on VLC? what hardware/monitor are you editing on?

maybe you could try downsample to 1080p and export then see how it plays.

im using a 15" late 2013 macbook pro with the retina display, btw this is FCPX trial, if it matters? But in the faq it says its the same as FCPX...

Lol, I'm not sure if its because your Mac can't do above 1080p.. it might be the case

i exported 1080p videos and same issue :|

okay issue is resolved.

I fixed it by manually adjusting the resolution settings, for gopro hero 4, 2.7k video setting dimensions are 2704 x 1524, previously i selected the default 2k video settings, now i can playback my video in full screen, no black space at the side or top :)

Great, that's a problem solved then.
