It was attached to this adaptor.

Anyone know what camera is it for?
is it for Exakta?
Thanks!

It's a 28mm f/2.8 prime lens. That does not look like the older Exakta mount, so it was probably one of the newer lenses they made. The C adapter is an adapter to a microscope, if I remember correctly. Incidently, MD is the name of the older Minolta mount, so it's possible that's a minolta mount on the lens?

the lens is minolta MD mount. for e manual minolta cams. looks like a nice lens=)

Thanks for your help bros. :)
It's a miracle that it is also fungus free.
haha.

If the lens is not stored in dry box, but in the store room in the humid Singapore weather, then your house or flat must have pretty good feng shui. Air flow is good, no dampness, cool and dry. A perfect place to live in.... :)

well said, chiif:bsmilie: Look some more.....you may turn up some Leica..

if you ask me, that helioplan filter on the lens is worth more than the lens. Helioplan is one of the great classics, alongside B&W, Leica and Rodenstock filters.

The exakta lens above was not made by exakta, but after the company went defunk and the brand was sold to a german retail house which then sub-contracted the manufacture to Japan for exakta-branded lenses to be sold. That's what I recall.

Exakta was one of the early "great" brands and in its hey-day, would be to european users what nikon film cameras are to us today.

A C-mount is for "cine" , and the format requires less coverage than 35mm ... hence the existence of adapters. I have an M42 to C-mt adapter myself which came with a lens I bought but I don't use the adapter at all.

the helioplan filter is in very bad shape.
For some reason, it's blur.
scratched blur. :(

Just mod this lens to fit nikon.
it can be used for MF as i just replaced the minolta mount with a nikon body cap.
quite shoddy work done by me but the pictures are sharp.
I just cannot focus to infinity.
Sample pics up soon!
