Redo composition. Big Time.

Thanks bro, but I'm seeking for your views on which photo you prefer, not asking for comments on the photos. ;p

Okie dokes, none.

Pic #2 for me. I think the texture and colours of the different elements (door, steps, clothing) in the shot complement each other. It would all be lost in the mono version.

Pic 1 seems to be lacking in contrast.

Pic #1 is like you want it to look like an old photo but the accessories and dresses she is wearing is too hip for that decade? Just my 2 cents :)

Pic #2 get my vote for the array of colours and the feel. Great pic!

A quick comment..

In both pictures, the eyes look a bit dull. Try to just brighten up the eyes and i think it will give it the sparkle that it is lacking. This is more exaggerated in the sepia as you can see the teeth is more white than the eyes. Usually it is the other way round (maybe evonne has perfect white teeth!!), but nevertheless, i think brightening the eyes a bit more can add a bit more punch.

As for which i prefer...

I like them both but i will lean more to the full color. Reason is that if you look at the skin tone of both picture. The full color looks more appealing and "healthy". Also, the wood grain on the background... it loses all its impact in the sepia. The full color has that little blue tint which is really nice and interesting. I also like the slight vignetting on the full color to bring attention to the face. And i think the crop is really good too

Hrm...I should have put the options 'All' and 'None'. Thanks for your comments anyway.

Thank you for all the comments ladies and gentlemen. Keep them coming!

Terence, Newman and Eric Lee: I agree with you guys on the contrast and set up, but what about the feel of the sepia in pic #1, with the exclusion of accessories and dressing and such?

Discreet: Thumbs up for the detailed comments and advice! Yes, I did brighten up her teeth. May be I've overdone it. I thought her eyes already have caught most of you guys' attention, so I didn't brighten them. ;p Agree with you on the background for sepia set up too!

both are well presented.. but i would prefer if first one could do more high key to goes with the sephia...

colour version ... cos skintone is very nice

#2 all colors on hte brown tone very pleasing to look at., the bnw version keep drawing my attention to the tummy...a bit like she is about 2-3 months pregnant. adn te face very burn out also

Thought of that DT, but doing that will burn out the details on her face I'm afraid. That's why I just remain as it is. :)

Thanks for the compliment on her skin tone in her 2nd pic silver.wolf, surge and digipat2003.

Currently, there are 2 ppl who like the sepia one. May I know why?

Again, for those who chose pic #1 as your choice, care to share with us the reason?
