i have focus issues too. :(

I think my D300 "killed" my 16-85mm VR motor!
The lens is 2 weeks old.
I was using during a wedding shoot, The zoom ring got jam! When i look through the viewfinder, the subject vibrates for 1 sec!

am thinking of getting a D300, but now am thinking twice cause of the focus issues said here :~(

Is the focusing issue on a few lense or.....???
seems like quite a number of happy d300 users.
might be getting 1 this weekend..
still reading the forum to get to know more.. b4 showhand! hee he..

at first i dont have any difficulty in choosing between d300 & d90 coz i dont really like the added video feature on DSLR, but upon reading some comments here regarding issues on d300 it's really a hard choice now. add to that someone post a d90vsd300vsd700 on noise control and the d300 fail the test.

pick...pick...pick...

ok ok ...
just got my D300 back from NSC
asked them what's wrong with the focusing...
and the answer: "we replace a chip...."

tested out afew lens which I bring along and it looks ... back to normal liao.
i'm also back to a happy user ... hehehe

I guess if you got any problem, just bring back to NSC especially if it's still under warranty lor.
get them to fix the problem and u will be back to be a happy user.

:)

to be honest, can't tell the difference under the controlled test by dcresource.com:
D90 vs D300

haha well, video feature on DSLR... it's still new...just got a D300.... apart from the minor focusing flaw, i love it.

D300 - NOTHING ESCAPES!

(well, except for D700 and D3! hahaha:confused:)
